Rezoning of 2 Parcels Allows Light Industry
- Share via
A parcel of land zoned for a public utility and another zoned for railroad use tentatively have been rezoned to allow light industrial development.
Southern California Edison and Union Pacific Railroad asked the city for the rezoning in separate requests so that commercial businesses could operate on their Lambert Road properties.
The Edison parcel is at 1151 E. Lambert, and the Union Pacific land is at 1501 E. Lambert.
“I think [the zone changes] are a positive thing,” Councilman Steven C. Anderson said. The rest of the council agreed, adding that new commercial buildings on Lambert would help the city in its goal to attract more businesses.
The council will take final action on the zone changes Nov. 20.
