NORTHRIDGE — About 300 residents were without electric power Wednesday afternoon due to a downed overhead wire, a utility spokeswoman said.
The power went out about 2 p.m. and was restored two hours later, said Department of Water and Power spokeswoman Marie Lemelle. The majority of the residents lived in apartments near the area of Devonshire Street and Zelzah Avenue, she said.
It wasn’t clear Wednesday night what caused the power line to fail, Lemelle said.
