Water-Efficient Toilets Earn Rebate From City
- Share via
Local businesses that switch from water-wasting toilets to water-efficient fixtures will receive $60 rebates.
The Public Utilities Department is offering rebates to reduce water usage. There is a voluntary goal to reduce usage of the limited resource by 10%, said Cathy Templeton, the city’s resource efficiency advisor.
Participants must install their own fixtures and then mail in an application, installation verification form and receipt of purchase. A rebate check will be mailed within two to three weeks.
About 20 businesses have received rebates and 58 have applied. The city received funding for the program through June from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
Applications and information: (714) 765-4272.
