School Board Expected to Approve Objectives

Trustees of the Capistrano Unified School District on Monday are expected to approve the district’s major objectives for the 1997-98 school year.
The objectives will focus on a variety of subjects from curriculum and instruction to school operations and communications.
They will include establishing new high school graduation requirements and giving elementary and middle school teachers extra time to prepare for newly adopted reading and language arts programs.
In other action, the board will review results of a test given to elementary students last spring. The board also will be given a back-to-school report, which will include student enrollment figures.
