Library Volunteers Honored for Service
A group of community volunteers who donated more than 11,000 hours of service at the Fullerton Public Library during the past year were recently honored.
The volunteers were commended by the City Council and each volunteer, who donated more than 100 hours, had a library book dedicated to him or her with a special nameplate.
The volunteers--dozens of them--perform a number of tasks including shelving books, teaching patrons to access the Internet, assisting with the local history collection, mending books and delivering books to homebound patrons.
