Foundation Offers Sailing Lessons

The nonprofit Pacific Corinthian Youth Foundation will offer several two-week beginner and intermediate sailing classes this summer at Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard.
Instruction is open to children between ages 8 and 18. Beginner lessons are $70 and run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Intermediate lessons are $95 and are held each weekday from 1 to 4 p.m.
The first session runs June 15 through 26. Classes will be offered through Sept. 4. Students must have basic swimming skills and supply their own life jackets.
The youth foundation sailing program also includes a summer racing series and special activities on Thursdays. For more information or to register, call Tracee Hancock at 985-0660.
