Reseda 44, Jordan 6--The Regents (8-4) intercepted five passes and converted each of them into touchdowns in routing the Bulldogs (6-5) at Reseda.
Reseda advances to face Manual Arts, a 40-16 winner over top-seeded Palisades, in a semifinal game Dec. 4.
Eric Ceja and Joseph Looney each made two interceptions and Gerard Jones had the other as the Regents confounded quarterback David Jackson of Jordan.
Jackson did not complete a pass in his first 13 attempts. He completed only five of 26 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Quarterback Skyler McKnight of Reseda rushed for three touchdowns and 39 yards in seven carries. Looney rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown in 11 carries and Eddie Robinson rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown in 10 carries.
Reseda had a 6-0 lead at the half on a 15-yard scoring run by McKnight with 1:30 remaining in the first quarter. The Regents increased their lead to 26-0 at the end of three quarters on touchdown runs by McKnight, Jason Wagner and Looney.
Reseda’s only successful conversion came when McKnight’s pass was tipped by a Bulldog defender and caught in the end zone by Regent lineman Rudy Ordaz seven minutes into the second half.
