Information Sought on Fatal Accident

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is seeking witnesses to a traffic accident last month that killed a female pedestrian.
The accident occurred Aug. 21 about 3:30 p.m. at Los Alisos Boulevard and Santa Margarita Parkway.
The victim was crossing Santa Margarita heading west when a dump truck making a right turn from Los Alisos Boulevard ran over her.
The woman was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead on arrival.
The truck driver said he did not see the woman before his vehicle struck her. The driver has not been charged, but the accident is still under investigation.
