The school board tonight will consider making intra-district transfer applications renewable each year. Currently, if enrollment at a student’s chosen school doesn’t exceed limits within the first four weeks of the initial year of the transfer, the student can remain there until graduation. The proposal aims to ensure that schools put their own neighborhood students first, but it will not affect students already enrolled. Trustees will also discuss shifting open enrollment from May to the first 10 school days in April. The board meets at 7 p.m. at 1401 W. Valencia Drive. Information: (714) 447-7440.
