Re “An Eye for Details: Multitalented Artist, Who Died Last Week, Filled Homes With Embellishments,” Sept. 21.
It would have made Gene Young incredibly happy to read Matt Surman’s article about him, which really captured the essence of the man (my stepfather) and his very interesting life. Surman didn’t just give us the facts on Gene’s work; his writing style made him [Young] come alive on the page and he spared no effort in interviewing some of the people who shared Gene’s life.
I thank you for assigning him Gene’s story.
