What a beautiful story by Jeffrey Gettleman. A little 5-year-old shooting victim beats the odds, survives and goes home in a big, red, real firetruck.
As for your photos--very touching and moving, especially the one of the paramedic wheeling Benjamin out of the hospital, followed by his mom and dad.
Additionally, the last paragraph of the article . . . how Ben left his home “one sunny morning when the world was all about summer camp and kickball, not doctors and bullets.” How meaningful! God bless you Ben!
