The Dana Point Police Services Department has named Ron Kennedy deputy of the year. Kennedy, 35, was chosen by his peers for a wide range of qualities, said Lt. Paul Ratchford, chief of police services for Dana Point.
A member of the Community Support Unit, Kennedy is the department’s liaison to local organizations and coordinates the special events in the city. Kennedy was also chosen deputy of the year when he worked for the Mission Viejo department in the early ‘90s.
