Quiksilver Sees 16% Increase in Profits

Quiksilver Inc., a Huntington Beach designer, producer and distributor of clothing, accessories and related products, reported net income of $11.3 million, or 49 cents a share, for its fiscal second quarter, ended April 30. That was 16% higher than the $9.7 million, or 41 cents a share, posted for the like period last year. Quarterly sales increased 11% to $142.1 million.
