Autopsy Results for Slain West Hills Couple Sealed

The results of autopsies on a West Hills couple found slain in their burning home Monday have been sealed at the request of police investigators, authorities said.
Few details have been released in the deaths of William Lasky, 76, and his wife, Bertha, 73.
“It’s an ongoing investigation and it’s necessary to withhold information until the conclusion of the investigation,” Los Angeles Police Officer Jason Lee said Wednesday.
The Laskys were found in their bed by firefighters responding to a 6:20 a.m. report of fire and smoke at the three-bedroom house in the 7200 block of Pomelo Drive.
Friends said the retired couple, 25-year residents of the Valley neighborhood, had returned Saturday from a Caribbean cruise.
Officials said it may be weeks or months before the Los Angeles County coroner’s office releases information on the cause of the couple’s deaths.
