The Los Angeles city attorney’s office has filed charges against seven people stemming from an October sweep of chiropractor offices that were allegedly fronts for prostitution houses, authorities said Friday.
The seven people were charged with either prostitution or operating as massage technicians without a license, or both, according to Mike Qualls, a city attorney spokesman.
During the sweep of seven chiropractic clinics throughout Los Angeles, four of them in the Valley, women offered to perform sex acts to undercover investigators posing as customers, officials said.
According to officials, the four Valley clinics where detectives made arrests were: Health Therapy Massage in Reseda; North Hills Therapy in North Hills; West Valley Therapy in Chatsworth; and Joy Therapy in Van Nuys.
