A 16-year-old was shot to death by a man apparently upset by the teen’s gaze, police said.
Kevin Stewart of Los Angeles and several friends were walking near 6th and Alvarado streets Saturday night when two young men accused Stewart of looking at them defiantly, police said.
After arguing with the men, Stewart and his friends walked to MacArthur Park, where Stewart was shot at 11:43 p.m., police said.
Witnesses told police it was too dark to identify the killer, and no one has been arrested.
