Home Fire Kills 1, Hurts 1; 3 Others Uninjured

An elderly man died in a house fire early Thursday, authorities said.
The fire engulfed the garage and attic of a single-family home in the 13000 block of Day Street about 1:45 a.m., said Riverside County Fire Department spokesman Patrick Chandler. The cause is under investigation.
An elderly woman was treated for minor injuries caused by the blaze, but two other adults and a child were unhurt.
