A 78-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash Saturday in Lake Forest, authorities said Sunday.
Leonor Bernal was pronounced dead at the scene after the collision at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday in which a Mazda traveling west on Lake Forest Drive hit a Honda near Rockfield Boulevard.
Bernal, of Lake Forest, was the passenger in the Mazda, said Lt. Paul D’Aura, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Several people in the other car sustained minor injuries, for which they were treated at a hospital, D’Aura said.
The cause of the collision is under investigation, he said.
