Continental flying ahead of the rest

YOUR recent article on Continental Airlines [“The Airline of the Future: Could It Be Continental?” Travel Insider, Oct. 8] validated why I chose to fly on the airline (in economy) recently on a trip from LAX to New York.
With so many airlines eliminating all types of food and even pillows and blankets, I was stunned to find that on my Continental flight I got lunch. What a stark contrast that was to an American Airlines flight I took a week later from New York’s JFK airport to LAX (again in economy), when I got only a soft drink.
Continental is unique, and it makes one wonder why the other carriers are not copying it.

AS a 34-year employee of the airline, I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. It is quite nice to see the good once again and see us on top. We have a great management team who are easily reachable and respond to any question honestly.
Thank you for recognizing us.
