The Dons, ranked No. 2 in the Southland by the Times, had five match points at No. 2 doubles but couldn’t convert. Instead, No. 3 Harvard-Westlake (11-0) kept its perfect season in tact.
It is the second consecutive season Harvard-Westlake has defeated Santa Barbara (13-1). The Wolverines won, 13-5, last season. The Dons were without top singles player Blake Muller (cq), who had a back injury, in that contest.

But the Wolverines’ top two singles players, Joshua Lederman and Jon Greenberg, took four out of six sets to lead their team to victory. Harvard-Westlake Coach Chris Simpson said he expected his team to take a few more sets in the contest, but was still satisfied with the victory.
