A fire destroyed a Burbank carpet and flooring company Monday, burning for more than two hours before it was extinguished, authorities said.
The four-alarm blaze at Beauty-Kiss Floor & Window Coverings was reported around 10:15 a.m., said Burbank Fire Capt. Peter Hendrickson.
Arriving fire crews from Burbank and several nearby cities found heavy smoke in the attic and flames at the rear of the building at 140 S. Glenoaks Blvd.
The roof became unstable and collapsed just after firefighters had pulled out of the structure, Hendrickson said.
No injuries were reported. There were no damage estimates, but the building was a total loss, according to Hendrickson. Several adjacent buildings received smoke and water damage.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
