Two former Orange County Superior Court detention release officers were convicted and sentenced Wednesday for falsifying their timecards, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.
Glen Alan Green, 65, of Huntington Beach and Clyde Richard Nelson, 67, of Chino Hills pleaded guilty Wednesday to grand theft and were sentenced to 60 days in jail and three years of probation after paying back what they stole from the county, the D.A.’s office said.
For all of 2014, Green and Nelson arrived late to work, left early or did not come to work at all and turned in timecards stating that they worked their full schedules.
Green stole $5,343 from the court and Nelson stole $2,963, officials said. They are no longer employees of the court.
