Jason Kidd reportedly lit into Lawrence Frank during coaches’ meeting

Explosive new details continue to emerge in the ongoing saga between Brooklyn Nets Coach Jason Kidd and demoted assistant Lawrence Frank, who is now generating the most expensive daily reports in the history of the NBA.

According to NBA.com, Kidd berated Frank during a coaches meeting earlier in the season. Here’s a PG-rated version, with all the expletives left to the imagination:

“Sit the ... down!” Kidd told Frank, according to NBA.com. “I’m the coach of this ... team! When you’re on the bench, don’t ... move!”

Frank, who has been removed from the Nets bench during games, has reportedly hired prominent sports attorney David Cornwell in what may be a precursor to a buyout of the six-year, $6-million contract that has made Frank the highest-paid assistant in the NBA.

Frank became increasingly less assertive on the bench as the Nets’ struggles worsened after some noted it appeared as if the assistant was doing more coaching than Kidd early on. Kidd demoted Frank last week.

The injury-plagued Nets (6-14) have lost four of their last six games heading into a game against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night at the Barclays Center. It could be another ugly defeat. The Celtics are coming off a 41-point victory over the New York Knicks, who beat the Nets by 30 points last week.
